Danach haben sich Susanna, Kathrine Schmutz und Daniel Wihler entschlossen &#8220;La Folle&#8221; und noch einige andere Songs im Studio aufzunehmen. Ein Demoband dieser Studio Session landete dann bei DRS3 wo es in die H\u00e4nde von Reto Caduff gelangte, welcher sp\u00e4ter die Songs auf seinem Label 150BPM ver\u00f6ffentlichte. Formed in the spring of 1986 by Ralf L. Aerne (vocals, programming, guitar) and Reto Caduff (sampling, vocals). The band released two albums in 1987 and 1988 and a last single in 1989. After the end of S\u00e9ance, Caduff became a film producer and director at Swiss Television in Z\u00fcrich. Today is an independent film producer and book publisher. Aerne opened a musical instrument shop in Z\u00fcrich, worked later for a Swiss furniture company, than opened his own furniture shop in Z\u00fcrich, did later move to south France and is today back in Switzerland. In 2019 the band reunited, first releasing the album Blue Dolphin Blue in remastered form including a remix of the title track by artist IAMX and My Room by Johan Baeckstr\u00f6m (CD). Info:<br \/>City \/ State: Bischofszell \/ TG<br \/>See also: Halle K<\/p><p>The Smash<\/p><p>Im Oktober 1983 ging die New-Wave\/Punk Band The Smash aus den kurz zuvor aufgel\u00f6sten Roadrats (1980-83) hervor.<br \/>Keith Martano an den Drums und Ray Cantina Gitarre hatten nun bereits einige \u201eLehrjahre\u201c hinter sich und und stellten zusammen mit dem Bassisten Charly Pic-up unter Weglassung der noch bei der fr\u00fcheren Band gespielten Coverversionen ein Set mit fast ausschliesslich eigenen Songs zusammen, wobei Ray Cantina nun auch den Part des Leadgesangs \u00fcbernahm.<br \/>Mitte 1984 wagte man es, die von Ray Cantina geschriebenen Songs Patricia &amp; The Good Guys Lose And The Bad Guys Win in den schweizbekannten Sunrise-Studios in Kirchberg SG unter der Regie von A.C. Vogel aufzunehmen und als Single zur ver\u00f6ffentlichen. Optimistisch wurden 1000 Exemplare gepresst, der Verkaufserfolg hielt sich indes in Grenzen. Kurz nach der Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der Single wurde als weiterer Gitarrist Roberto Roccon, inzwischen leider verstorben, an Bord geholt, welcher die Band nach einigen Auftritten wieder verliess.<br \/>Der Sound wurde w\u00e4hrenddessen stets pr\u00e4ziser und kompakter, getrieben durch das Rhythmus-Gespann (ex-Roadrat Omar Buffon hatte inzwischen den abgesprungen Bassisten Charliy Pic-up ersetzt) und den new-wavigen Gitarrensound und es wurde das Demo-Tape 6 strong songs<br \/>aufgenommen. Da unmittelbar neben dem Aufnahmeraum, einem Wohnhaus, eine SBB-Linie verlief, mussten die Aufnahmen immer wieder unterbrochen worden. Der Sound-Engineer war damals Heinz Reutlinger (ex-Stitch), welcher sp\u00e4ter die Al-Dente Studios in W\u00e4denswil er\u00f6ffnete.<br \/>Einige aus der Region erinnern sich vielleicht noch an den Auftritt anl\u00e4sslich der Er\u00f6ffnung der Grabenhalle im Mai 1984. Mit dabei waren damals auch die Engl\u00e4nder Blur (nicht die sp\u00e4teren, weltbekannten Brit-Popper!) und Fleur d\u2019Hiver aus Basel. F\u00fcr The Smash folgten weitere Gigs an attraktiven Orten, wobei diejenigen an der Er\u00f6ffnung des Lokalradio Wils und an den Open-Airs Weinfelden und Neukirch besonders erw\u00e4hnenswert sind. Auch die Grabenhalle durften The<br \/>Smash ein weiteres Mal besuchen; unvergessen der Auftritt in der Roten Fabrik (eher wegen der an einem Dienstag abend sp\u00e4rlichen Zuschauerzahl als wegen eines grossen Erfolges).<br \/>Als man sich unter den Aegiden des St. Gallers Pierre Bendel an erneute Aufnahmen in den Sunrise-Studios machte, um das Weiterkommen der Band voranzutreiben, fiel The Smash nachdem sich Keith Martano und Omar Buffon der Elektronik-Gruppe Halle K anschloss auseinander.<br \/>Ray Cantina gr\u00fcndete daraufhin The Front und sp\u00e4ter Perfect Fools. Alle Protagonisten sind auch heute (2011) noch in der Ostschweizer Musikszene aktiv (Tears For Beers, Noise Brothers etc.). Smash-Songs k\u00f6nnen in itunes unter Ren\u00e9 \u201eRay Cantina\u201c Kellers neuem alias \u201eRay Bombay\u201c heruntergeladen werden. Smelly Gambas waren geboren.<br \/>Zur\u00fcck in Schaffhausen wurde in den Katakomben der alten Kammgarn Spinnerei ein Uebungsraum gemauert, Instrumente und Verst\u00e4rker angeschafft und los konnte es gehen.<br \/>Den Proberaum teilen die Smelly Gambas mit den Nevertscheks. Wie schon bei Knigges Kreaturen spielt Serge die zweite Gitarre. Und der Skateboardpionier Andi R\u00e4mi (siehe Anhang) st\u00f6sst als S\u00e4nger zur Band. Das erste Konzert spielen sie 1987 an einer Antifa-Demo in Freiburg im Breisgau. Sie treten mit gerade mal f\u00fcnf Liedern auf. Nach einigen weiteren Konzerten erschien das Tape Smelly Gambas I. Es folgten Konzerte in der Schweiz, Deutschland, Italien, Tschechoslowakei und \u00d6sterreich.<br \/>Sie spielten mit Bands wie Jingo de Lunch, Baby Jail, Rudolfs Rache, Le Faster, Fleisch, etc.<br \/>Im Fr\u00fchjahr 1989 folgen Aufnahmen f\u00fcr den Suck up? Sack ab! Sampler mit Insane Apple, Leatherface und Tombestoned, wof\u00fcr die Gambas drei Lieder beisteuern. Inspiration war der Sound von Bands wie Dead Kennedys, D.O.A., Black Flag, Bad Brains u.w. Sein Anspruch war es, die schnellste und h\u00e4rteste Schweizer Band zu werden. Schon bald wurde er f\u00fcndig, dies bei Jean-Marc &#8220;Sch\u00e4me&#8221; Previtali am Gesang und Gertjan &#8220;Gertsch&#8221; Wiggers am Bass. Ein Schlagzeuger konnte trotz etlichen Anl\u00e4ufen und aus den unterschiedlichsten Gr\u00fcnden bis zur Aufl\u00f6sung nie gefunden werden. Diese Situation f\u00fchrte dazu, dass The Squirt in der Formation Sch\u00e4me (Gesang\/Gitarre), Ueli (Drums) und Gertsch (Bass) probten und nur sehr wenige Live Konzerte gaben (entweder in der zwangsl\u00e4ufig aufgezwungenen Formation oder mit einem Gastschlagzeuger). Bei US Hardcore Konzerten, die in der Roten Fabrik am 25. Juni 1983 mit Bad Brains oder zwei Jahre sp\u00e4ter am 3. Oktober 1985 mit D.O.A. statt fanden, w\u00e4ren sie gerne als Vorband aufgetreten, doch wurde mangels Idealbesetzung dies nicht in Betracht gezogen.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Nichts zum trotz waren 1983 vierzehn Songs f\u00fcr ein Demotape zusammen und wurden im Studio von Christy Doran in Luzern aufgenommen. Der Not gehorchend, wurden in einem ersten Schritt alle Songs einzig mit Drums (Ueli) und Bass (Gertsch) und in einem 2. Schritt Gesang (Sch\u00e4me) und Gitarre (Ueli) eingespielt (Die Band war nachtr\u00e4glich nicht gerade zufrieden damit). Ein Demotape viel auch in die H\u00e4nde von Mansur Niknam vom Hamburger Label Weird System. Zu dieser Zeit das Deutschpunk Label schlechthin, erkannte Mansur umgehend das Potenzial von The Squirt. 1985 erschien die LP &#8220;Men and their Masters&#8221; auf seinem Label, gefolgt von einer Deutschland Tour mit Auftritten in Freiburg, Osnabr\u00fcck, G\u00f6ttingen, Hamburg, T\u00fcbingen u.a. Die Tournee war im Nachhinein wohl der H\u00f6hepunkt der Band. Das &#8220;feu sacre&#8221; schwand, neue Musikstile beeinflussten das eine oder andere Bandmitglied und jeder ging von nun seinen eigenen Weg. August 2007 an Lugenkrebs verstorbene Thomas H\u00f6sli. Die Anf\u00e4nge standen ganz im Zeichen des Punk in Bands wie Patentkinder, Die Reiber und Naturakt (1981\u20131985). Mitte der 80er-Jahre gr\u00fcndete er Steven\u2019s Nude Club, eine langlebige Band, die sich im Jahr 2000 aufl\u00f6ste. Endo Anaconda und Balts Nill spielten vorher bereits zusammen in den Bands Hunger &amp; Trunk, Caduta Massi und Andreas Fl\u00fcckiger &amp; Die Alpinisten. Im Sommer nahmen sie mit Chrigu Rechsteiner und Schifer Schafer eine erstes Album auf, dass als Musikkasette ver\u00f6ffentlicht wurde und im Jahr 2001 als CD erschien.<br \/>Stiller Has entstand, weil das Duo gleichzeitig die kleinstm\u00f6gliche Rockband und die gr\u00f6sstm\u00f6gliche Form der Solodarbietung ist. Seit dem 1. Mai &#8217;89 hatten sie zu zweit ein halbes Dutzend Konzerte gegeben. Im Juli mieteten sie f\u00fcr vier Tage das ehemalige Eurotop-Studio an der Berner Stadtbachstrasse. Die Songs, die sie einspielen wollten, existierten zum Teil nur als Fragmente. Zeit, mit ihren Gastmusikern Schifer Schafer (Gitarre) und Chrigu Rechsteiner (Violine) zu proben, fanden sie immer dann, wenn ihr Tonmeister Christian Moser das Band zur\u00fcckspulte oder ein Kabel suchte.<br \/>So haben sie an vier heissen Julitagen elf Nummern eingespielt. Hans Stalder hat einen wundersch\u00f6nen Hasenfiesling gezeichnet. Mit Lineal und Japanmesser haben wir die Kassettenh\u00fcllen gefalzt und geschnitten. Stitch erreichte vor allem national einen hohen Bekanntheitsgrad, aber auch europ\u00e4isch wurde getourt. 1984 stieg der B\u00fcndner Gitarrenbauer<br \/>Claudio Pagelli bei der Band ein und mit ihm wurde die zweite LP der Band Compromise ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Z\u00fcri Punx, was their first available 7&#8243; single, released in April 1979 on Another Swiss Label, founded by Urs Steiger. It was a song that captivated through its musical immediacy and lyrics loaded with Punk paroles: sie tr\u00e4umed vo Punk und Anarchie &#8230; Woodstock isch Scheisse gsi (they dream of Punk and anarchy &#8230; Woodstock was shit). At the same time, Z\u00fcri Punx also reflected the break-out spirit and the overarching determination that constituted the early Punk years in Switzerland. In August 1979, Sperma also released a 12&#8243; EP with the three songs Schmier, No More Love and Radio. It was surprising that Schmier never became subject to government censorship, since the song openly propagated the killing of policemen. Most likely the police have still not heard the track! No More Love was a firm rejection of the &#8220;Peace and Love&#8221; generation and Radio attacked the conservative Swiss radio programs which were solely designed for the great masses. After a line-up change, including Beat Schlatter (later with Liliput) new on drums, their 7&#8243; single Love Love was released in Spring 1980. At the end of the year, Z\u00fcri Punx was then put out once more. But this time with the song Sinnlos (recorded in 1978 but never used) instead of Bombs as the B-side track of the 7&#8243; single. Beide sind auf den beiden sp\u00e4teren Platten &#8220;Golden Age&#8221; und &#8220;Summer&#8221; zu h\u00f6ren. Bei der &#8220;Summer&#8221; Single gibt es zwei verschiedene Versionen, eine im roten Vinyl und eine Testpressung. Die Platte wurde zwar gepresst, kam aber nie auf den Markt, weil Anaconda in Schwierigkeiten geriet, was unter anderem zur Aufl\u00f6sung der Sugar Puffs f\u00fchrte. Dennoch hat es ca. 500 Exemplare davon gegeben und einige der Exemplare sind auf dem freien Markt gelandet. Die Band bestand zuerst aus Michael Antener STR (Programming), ehemals Nacht-Raum, Bande Berne Crematoire, Swamp the, Strangler Of The Swamp, Ane H (Gesang) ehemals Tierstein und Francis Francis Halioua (Gitarre) ehemals Swamp the, Strangler Of The Swamp, der die Band aber 1989 wieder verliess.<br \/>Das Markenzeichen der Band sind harte Elektro-Beats gemixt mit (meistens gesampleten) Gitarrenriffs. Der Bandname will dabei zum Ausdruck bringen, dass die Welt nicht aus voneinander isolierbaren Objekten besteht, sondern aus einem System von Zusammenh\u00e4ngen, die genauso wichtig sind wie die Essenz der Dinge selber. In Ihren Texten besch\u00e4ftigt sich System der Dinge mit den Beziehungen der inneren Welt des Menschen mit der \u00e4usseren Realit\u00e4t.<\/p><p>Gegr\u00fcndet als Quartet verfolgen die beiden Bandmitglieder Ken Gubler und Oliver J\u00e4ggi aus Winterthur, seit der Ver\u00f6ffentlichung ihres erstes Demo-Tape &#8220;Erstes Zeichen&#8221; 1992, ihren Weg konsequent und haben ihren eigenen Stil entwickelt. Nach dem zweiten Demotape &#8220;Das zweite Gesicht&#8221; 1994 traten System der Dinge mit mehreren Beitr\u00e4gen auf CD Compilations in Erscheinung. System der Dinge kreieren mit ihrem dichten Sound eine Verschmelzung moderner elektronischer Kl\u00e4nge und Rhythmen mit klassischen Elementen des Dark-Electro. Das Ziel der Band ist es zeitgen\u00f6ssische Musik zu machen ohne sich zu sehr an moderne Str\u00f6mungen anzulehnen. Im November 1999 wurde nun das erste Album &#8220;Fear Forms Function&#8221; auf dem US Label DSBP ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Das Album umfasst mit seinen 12 Titel sowohl \u00e4lteres Material als auch neue Songs. Bei dem einzigen St\u00fcck in franz\u00f6sischer Sprache wurde der Gesangspart von einer Gasts\u00e4ngerin \u00fcbernommen. Ihre Live Auftritte hat die Band weg vom Audioplayback hin zum Einsatz von Sequenzer und Synthesizern entwickelt um dadurch eine bessere M\u00f6glichkeit zur Beeinflussung des momentanen Geschehens zu erhalten.<br \/>Weiter Alben wurden im laufe der Zeit ver\u00f6ffentlicht. Ihr letzter Release &#8220;Dreamer Without A Cause&#8221; erschien 2020.
